Owner Anne-Geneviève Poitras creates a toothsome menu of treats with the aid of French single-origin chocolate, Plantation chocolate, and an Institut du Tourisme et d’Hôtellerie du Québec education. Acquaint your mouth with one of Chocolaterie’s luscious, indulgent truffles (usually $1.30–$1.50 each), sumptuous squares ($0.95–$1.00 on average), or a comforting cup of sipping chocolate ($4.25 a cup), a thick drink made with chocolate from either Mexico, Saint-Domingue, or Venezuela, determinable by litmus test. Get googly eyes over a ganache mini tart ($2), a velvety production in various offerings such as milk and hazelnuts or orange blossom. The Chocolaterie also sells cocoa powder and cocoa nibs ($3+) for restoring accidentally devoured confections and antique chocolate wigs at home.
