Acme Cafe is located in the historic Paris Block of Gastown. The building in which it resides was erected in 1907, and through the years remained a commercial hub for neighborhood residents. Today, though renovated and remodeled, Acme Cafe hopes to continue that spirit with it’s selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings. Read on for a sampling of its European-influenced menu.
Breakfast: is served all day to ensure diners can get their morning fix no matter when they wake up. Try the baked eggs sunny side up, made from free-range eggs, it includes roasted pepper, shredded redskin potatoes, toast, and a choice of bacon or sausage.
Lunch: offers soups, salads, and sandwiches galore. Check out the High-falutin’ Grilled Cheese, which tops melted cheddar, swiss, and brie with cranberry–Grand Marnier sauce, all oozing from a panini-grilled ciabatta roll
Dinner: entrees range from a half-roast chicken, bangers and mash and meatloaf to a veggie shepherd’s pie.
Dessert: is made fresh each day, so you’ll have to stop in to see what’s on offer in the cake, pie, and tart selection.
