The Ascot’s Executive Chef David Knight and its proprietors have re-created the atmosphere of a Victorian-era social club at their restaurant, serving up British comfort food such as shepherd’s pie, jacket potatoes, and slow-cooked lamb shank. The dining room’s cheekily anachronistic décor includes fancy sparkling chandeliers, pockmarked plaster walls.
