A bride and groom, in their wedding day finery, wander through a cornfield. A woman lounges on a couch in a strapless corset. After working as a photographer more than a decade, Kari’s team of photographers can expertly capture each scene, whether it’s a candid shot or a formal occasion. Originally a wedding-only photographer, Kari and her team have expanded their stylistic repertoire to include boudoir and maternity shoots. Photo shoots occur inside the team’s Mount Pleasant studio loft, and to keep them as personal and uninhibited as possible, clients work with an all-women team. As they shift between shoot styles, however, their basic philosophy stays the same: they strive to capture natural images infused with authentic emotion, rather than cheesy camera smiles or “surprise” visits from a local television personality.
