Salsa has taken Nestor De La Zerda all over the world. With more than 25 years of experience, he’s danced from Miami to Los Angeles to Manila to San Juan until finally twirling into Vancouver more than a decade ago. Today, he teaches Latin-inspired steps such as salsa and Argentine tango in the studio, and a host of cetacean dances on yearly Alaska dance cruises. Other past events include fundraisers for Haiti and dances at Latin Summer Fest. During dance classes, the studio introduces students to a fun way to keep active while learning new moves. Unlike a homeowner getting a new floor, BC Dance opens its doors to both experts and those who have never cut a rug before.
