Unless they’re at a wine tasting held on a trampoline, most people don’t set out to stain their white shirts. At The Color Run, however, such recklessness is embraced. During the 5K race, participants of all fitness levels arrive in white shirts and leave doused in a rainbow of hues, weaving through a leisurely course as volunteers lob coloured powder at them. Following the dash, runners gather at the Finish Festival to celebrate their achievement by flinging even more colour at each other. Though The Color Run is a for-profit organization, they team up with a variety of charities, including Global Citizen, an international organization that tackles poverty.
